7th Annual Women & Heart Disease Dinner

The Women and Heart Disease Committee consisting of members of the Valley Parish Nurse Program, healthcare professionals and volunteers from throughout the community, will host its 7th Annual Women and Heart Disease Programon Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Grassy Hill Lodge, 30 Sodom Lane, Derby. Registration and a silent auction will start at 5pm followed promptly at 6 pm by dinner and the program.
Samantha Heller, M.S., R.D., C.D.N., health and media expert, consultant and author of “Get Smart: Prescription for Boosting Brain Power & Optimizing Total Body Health” and Nutrition Coordinator at the Center for Cancer Care at Griffin Hospital, will be guest speaker. Samantha is a favored health expert on TV shows such as Good Morning America, The Today Show, and Dr. Oz, among others. Her nutrition, health, wellness and fitness articles have appeared in such magazines as Today’s Health & Wellness and Heart Healthy Living. Cost is $35.
