Sponsored by: Connecticut River Museum
The Museum’s latest exhibit Connecticut’s Founding Fish will open to the public March 10th. Bony but delicious, American Shad have traditionally been the focus of one of the largest fisheries on the Connecticut River, with a history extending back to the Native Americans. Fishing gear, fine art, an Earl Brockway skiff and other items related to Shad will be on display for all interested in learning about this important fish that helped shape our region. Join us in celebrating this important species! Through July 31st.
