Sponsored by: Yale Film Study Center

Join the Yale Film Study Center, CPTV, and the Yale Veterans Network for a special screening of SERVED LIKE A GIRL, a new documentary by director Lysa Heslov. The film will be followed by a discussion with Lynette Adams, Ph.D., Women Veterans Program Manager for VA Connecticut Healthcare System.

SERVED LIKE A GIRL shares the story of female veterans back from Iraq and Afghanistan who are now fighting to win the Ms. Veteran America crown, all while working to help sister vets suffering from PTSD, homelessness, and abuse.

Featuring upcoming documentaries from the Peabody Award-winning PBS series Independent Lens, Indie Lens Pop-Up brings people together for film screenings and community-driven conversations. Indie Lens Pop-up is presented in Connecticut by the Yale Film Study Center, CPTV, ITVS, and PBS’s Independent Lens.
