Every year, LEAP – Leadership, Education, and Athletics in Partnership – hosts an evening of excellent food, stimulating conversations, and fascinating culture to raise money to support its nationally-recognized after-school and summer mentoring programs for children and youth living in New Haven’s high poverty neighborhoods. The “LEAP Year Event” brings together corporate and community leaders for an evening of small dinner parties at prominent homes and venues around the Greater New Haven area to benefit LEAP.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2012, LEAP’s programs teach responsible decision-making and leadership skills to New Haven’s children and youth, and challenge them intellectually in a safe, respectful environment. These programs are a vital part of the New Haven community.
This year’s event will take place on Leap Year Day, Wednesday, February 29, 2012. We would be honored to have you be a part of this remarkable tradition in support of one of New Haven’s oldest and most distinguished out-of-school-time programs for children and youth.
