Energize Connecticut Center’s 2nd Annual Holiday Lighting Celebration

Sponsored by: Energize Connecticut Center

On Friday, November 10, the Energize Connecticut Center will host its 2nd Annual Holiday Lighting Celebration. The free event will take place from 4 to 7:30p.m. at The Center, located at 122 Universal Drive North, North Haven (next to Panera Bread in the Target Plaza).

To kick-off the evening’s celebration, the center will hold a holiday light exchange, and give away two new LED light strands in exchange for two incandescent holiday lights, while supplies last.

Starting at 6p.m., parents and their children can explore the center’s interactive exhibits as well as enjoy holiday-themed family-friendly activities, including:
•  A musical light show performed by UConn professor Ed Large’s Synchrony LED system
•  Experiments with holiday light strand circuits
•  Arts and crafts projects with the Eli Whitney Museum
•  Raffle prizes
•  Holiday-themed refreshments such as a hot chocolate bar and cookies

The Center will also be collecting nonperishable food items for the Connecticut Food Bank during the event. The first 50 families who donate will receive a four pack of LED light bulbs.

Concluding the evening’s festivities, the Energize Connecticut Center’s staff will hold a special LED holiday lighting ceremony.
