Hunting for Horseshoes 2018
Sponsored by: New Haven Land Trust
Join the Land Trust for one of our favorite events of the year!
For the third year in a row, we welcome Professor Jo-Marie Kasinak from Sacred Heart University’s Project Limulus to the Long Wharf Nature Preserve to share her expertise on horseshoe crabs. Professor Kasinak and her team will discuss their research on horseshoe crabs and will also bring supplies so that participants can learn how to catch horseshoes, tag them, and help collect data for Project Limulus. Rainboots/wellies recommended!
Parking available at 351 Long Wharf Drive across from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
This event is supported by the Woman’s Seamen’s Friend Society, the Quinnipiac River Fund, and the Watershed Fund.
