Sponsored by: Congregation Beth El – Keser Israel (BEKI)

Christina Crowder leads the Bivoliţa Chamber Klezmer Quartet with Brian Slattery, Gretchen Frazier, and Keryn Kleiman. Bivoliţa draws its repertoire from the early European sources of Jewish instrumental wedding music but finds contemporary interpretations that draw on the diverse musical experiences of its members.

Julie Asuma Levene has recently appeared at Carnegie Hall with the Yale School of Music Alumni Ensemble of Clarinetists. Founder of the klezmer ensemble Generation Klez, she teaches at Sacred Heart University, Choate Rosemary Hall, and Neighborhood Music School in New Haven.

Suggested donation at the door $18. The snow date is Sunday March 3 at 7:00 pm.
