New Haven World War I digitization day

Sponsored by: Connecticut State Library

Dig out those letters, photos, and old stories about your relatives’ World War I service: The Connecticut State Library is looking to digitally archive as much as it can about the war to help commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the war.

At this event, your items will be scanned and photographed, and then returned to you. Your family’s story will be included in an online archive.

The project, Remembering World War One, is one of the largest of its kind in the United States, and has told the stories of more than 300 men and women from across the globe.

The event will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. at Buley Library. Parking is available in the main parking lot on Fitch Street, at the intersection of Pine Rock Avenue (marked P-2 on campus map).
