The Essence of Nature- A Drawing Series on the Farm

Sponsored by: Massaro Community Farm

Enjoy a four session course on learning to draw plants of all types at Massaro Farm. We will work both indoors and outdoors in the fields and woods at the farm. The focus will be on memory, gesture, and contour drawing, with a quick demonstration each week. All materials will be provided. You will learn to connect with the essence of the beauty that you experience at Massaro Farm and feel more confident about sketching, drawing, and creating a natural journal. The teacher is Linda Miller. Linda is a Senior Instructor in the Yale Peabody Museum - Natural Science Illustration Program, who loves helping people connect to nature through art. She offers courses and workshops at the Museum in Drawing, Watercolor, Botanical Watercolor, and Field Sketching at the Yale Landscape Lab and at the Yale Marsh Botanical Gardens. You can see more of here work at her website: http://www.lindaandersonmiller.com/

Dates of the class are June 3, 10, 17, and 24th. There is a $160 fee to join the series and it will be collected at the first class. If this is a hardship, and you feel strongly that you would like to join the class, please contact the farm for a scholarship. Register now to make sure you get a space in this class.
