Yoga in the Gardens!
Sponsored by: The New Haven Land Trust
The Land Trust is hosting weekly yoga sessions in our community gardens! Sessions will meet in different Land Trust gardens throughout the city for a citywide yogic experience. Yoga sessions are open to the public and donation-based. If you feel you’ve benefited from the experience, and can afford to donate, please do so. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat or rent one from us for $2 (or just go natural on the earth!). The session will be led by instructor Damian Paglia (bio below.)
The upcoming sessions will be held at the following locations:
May 31 || Cherry Ann St Park - 173 Cherry Ann St.
June 7 || Cherry Ann St Park - 173 Cherry Ann St.
June 14 || Truman St. Garden - 60 Truman St.
June 21 || Truman St. Garden - 60 Truman St.
All classes run from 6-7pm.
Damian Paglia is a social architect, weaving together communities everywhere he goes. Utilizing his gift of profound presence, he thrives on connecting intimately with the souls he encounters. Damian is proudly New Haven born and raised. He is the cofounder of New Haven Ecstatic Dance, a now thriving dance community where he facilitates people’s ability to express their hearts through movement and connection. His lifetime advocacy of natural medicine led him to graduate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition as a Holistic Health Counselor in 2005. He is currently a health coach, personal trainer, yoga instructor, and massage therapist. A talented visual artist, he is able to boldly express vivid abstract experiences of life on canvas. A student of Dada Pranaksnananda (a monk of Ananda Marga), Damian has been practicing meditation for over 10 years. Damian is a student of Master Teacher Hari Kaur Khalsa, a direct student of Yogi Bhajan. He is currently studying shamanic plant medicine as a modality for turning dreams into reality. It is his belief that we are all here to heal ourselves and each other. We have no job here on this planet but to exist and to experience the bliss of being human.
Damian believes in standing for equality, justice, and liberation, and his yogic path is here to support that.
