12th NIght at the David Humphreys House

Sponsored by: Derby Historical Society

Please join us as the Derby Historical Society marks the end of the Christmas season with our annual Twelfth Night Celebration.  This event features tours of General David Humphreys House by costumed docents.  Spark up a conversation with one of our historical portrayers and take yourself back to an earlier time in American history.
Try our mulled cider and punch alongside some samplings of colonial cookery and modern day baked goods.
There will be demonstrations of colonial skills such as spinning and weaving.  We will also have an open hearth cooking demonstration during this event.  Also, be sure to plan to stay for our special presentation at 3 pm.
Visit our Gift Shop to find a unique item.  We have toys of yesteryear, local history books, locally made candles and soaps, punched tin lanterns, and watercolor prints of Derby from long ago.
For more information call (203)735- 1908.  Limited parking is available in back of the house.  Additional on-street parking is available on nearby Thomas Street.  Call the office or check updates on our Facebook page, Derby Historical Society, in case of inclement weather.
