The Flood of ‘55 devastated much of the State, including the Naugatuck Valley, where it caused more than $40 million in damages. Lives and homes
were destroyed.

Library Local History Coordinator will discuss the causes of the flood, its impact on the Valley, and the changes it brought on flood control measures for the Naugatuck River.
