American Impressionism: From France to Our Shores

ArtScapades will explain how Impressionism arrived in America including the influence of art dealers, the education of American artists in Europe, and the formation of art colonies. ArtScapades chronicles the lives of four American Impressionists that were working on the Eastern seaboard: William Merritt Chase, Childe Hassam, John Twachtman and J. Alden Weir.

About ArtScapades: Robin Hoffman and Jodi Stiffelman, of ArtScapades, began teaching art appreciation in 1998. They have presented at libraries and museums in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, and Florida, and are happy to make their debut in Derby.
