Edgar Allen Poe wrote the first modern detective story, the first modern science fiction story and founded the modern horror genre. Campbell Harman brings Poe to life as he discusses his eventful short life and the mythos surrounding his death and his profound influence on American literature and popular culture. Poe’s own works will be read by Mr. Harmon during the performance.
