FAMILY PLACE- 1, 2, 3…Grow with Me (Ages 1-3)- Spring/Summer Sessions

Sponsored by: DERBY PUBLIC LIBRARY

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED; you can register at the “More Info.” link below, or at the library web site.

The Derby Public Library introduces a multi-week session of Family Place -1, 2, 3… Grow With Me.  This innovative program is a time for families to share together with their 1-3 year-old children.  Siblings who are age 5 and under are also welcome to attend, but do NOT need to register here .  Each week will feature puzzles, books, blocks, a craft, dramatic play and more followed by a story and rhymes.  Parents/caregivers will also be introduced to some of the many resources available to them to assist in the raising of their toddlers and have an opportunity to meet new friends in an educational and creative environment.

A resource professional from the community will be available on several of the Mondays during these sessions to discuss parenting questions and concerns.  Topics will include child development, nutrition, immunization and more.  Do not miss the opportunity to consult with experts on a no-fee basis while your child enjoys a wonderful play experience.  Families are encouraged to attend each week to obtain the full benefits of this multi-week session.

The Family Place is a national initiative of Americans for Libraries Council and Middle Country Library.  The Family Place of Connecticut is made possible through the generous support of the Katharine Matthies Foundation.

NOTE: Registration is now open for the fall 2018 sessions of this event as well and may be done at any FP session listed September 10th and later on this calendar (check back if you do not see the new sessions posted yet).  However, if you are new to this program, you may want to just register here to try the last two sessions out first.  Or, feel free to register for both.
