Hugo tells the story of orphaned young boy Hugo (Asa Butterfield in his first major role since appearing as Mordred in the BBC series Merlin) who lives in a train station fixing the clocks, while avoiding the clutches of The bumbling Station Inspector (Sacha Baron Cohen playing another hilarious character). Using a notebook left behind by his late father, Hugo attempts to repair a machine known as an Automaton that Hugo believes will reveal a message from his father. He makes friends with a young girl named Isabella (Chloe Grace Mortez) to discover its secret when it seems that Isabella’s Godfather Papa George (Ben Kingsley on top form) knows something about the Automaton. The two work together and meet lots of interesting characters in an attempt to uncover the Automaton’s secret.

With a great supporting cast including Helen Mcroy (Harry Potter), Richard Griffiths (Harry Potter), Frances De La Tour (Alice In Wonderland), Jude Law (Sherlock Holmes), Ray Winstone (Indiana Jones 4) and Christopher Lee (Charlie And The Choclate Factory) Hugo offers amazing acting from all the actors. Martin Scorese has created a vivid world that draws you in and is enthralling in all aspects.
