Details | Channel your inner rockstar with this full body cardio-jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing, and sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums. You become the workout music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements. Using lightly weighted drumsticks called “Ripstix” engineered specifically for exercising, POUND transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out. Designed for all fitness levels, POUND provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable and the alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeals to men and women of all ages and abilities. This class is designed for all fitness levels and those new to POUND. It involves simple movements, mostly performed in a standing position. Ripstix and bottled water provided. Wear comfortable exercise clothes and sneakers. This program will move inside the building in the event of inclement weather. About the Instructor: Debbie Russell became a Pound Pro in 2018. She has been teaching various group exercise classes for over 20 years. She is a certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and employed as a Corporate Health Fitness Specialist with Pitney Bowes of Shelton.
