Details | East Haven Public Television (ETV) will hold a Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting at their new facilities, at 230 Main St, in East Haven, CT. The event is open to the public, and will take place Saturday, November 19th, at 3 PM. East Haven’s Mayor Carfora, members of the EH Chamber of Commerce, members of the ETV board, staff, and guests will be on hand to meet and greet visitors in ETV’s new studio space. An open house will follow the ceremony from 3pm until 7pm, with beverages and light fare. “We’re beyond excited to be building a community media center for anyone looking for a creative outlet,” said Jay Miles, ETV Board Chair. “At our new location, right on Main Street, we will have our doors open, with tours of the new studio and conversations about exciting digital media opportunities in our new facilities.” In addition to traditional broadcasts of independent, town government, and educational content, ETV is offering exciting new options, from free tech training workshops, to volunteer opportunities, to live streamed meetings, and special events. A series of free workshops will cover a variety of topics in media production, including podcasting, multi camera techniques, video editing, digitizing old footage, and more. These workshops are open for current members of ETV. Members who complete free training sessions can schedule time to use the ETV digital media equipment for podcast recording, video editing, green screen shoots, and more.
