| Details | ETV TO HOLD FIRST EVER LIVE STREAMED GREAT GIVE TELETHON — East Haven Public Television (ETV) is excited to announce their first ever live-streamed telethon, to take place during the Great Give, on Wednesday evening May 3, 2023, beginning at 7pm. The stream will be viewable live on the ETV Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/theRealETV/, and includes a stellar line up of guests, musicians, and one of a kind content. For the 2023 Great Give, ETV is raising funds to offset the cost of a new illuminated sign, for the front of the new studio on Main Street. Both the finalists and the winner of the ETV “Design Our Sign” contest will be revealed during the broadcast (https://www.easthaven.tv/sign-contest). Musicians scheduled to appear include Frank Critelli, Grace Yukich, Seth Adam, and the Midnight Marauder, as well as special guests. “We’ve assembled an amazing line-up of talented musicians for the telethon,” said Jay Miles, ETV Board Chair. “We’re also including new content from East Haven High School, video from the ETV vaults, the winning design for our new sign, and other special guests.” With a crew consisting of current members, volunteers, freelancers, and staff, the evening aims to raise funds, showcase talent, and push the limits of the technology now in place at the recently reopened Community Media Center. “ETV is assembling what we think will be an amazing night of entertainment,” said Miles. “We’ve crafted a unique event that will showcase not only what the new facility includes, and what the technology we have can achieve, but will feature the type of fun, engaging programming that our donors can expect in the months and years ahead.” East Haven Public Television (ETV) is the nonprofit cable access and Community Media Center in East Haven, CT. Serving a diverse community of members, producers, and viewers. ETV operates 3 PEG stations, including town government, educational, and independent programming, across traditional and emerging broadcast platforms. The Great Give is an annual fundraising event, sponsored and coordinated by the Community Foundation of Greater New Haven, which aids non-profits and arts organizations of all shapes and sizes to raise funds, build support, and fuel growth. |
