| Details | Hamden Celebrates Earth Day April 22! Town Center Park on Saturday, April 22, from 10 to 3 Just what are you supposed to do with the pizza box or with plastic forks after a party? Find the answers to these questions and more in Hamden’s Solid Waste & Recycling Commission’s Recycling Contest that launches at Hamden’s free Earth Day Celebration on April 22. Whitneyville Food Center and Best Video Film & Cultural Center were the first businesses to throw in their support by offering gift certificates for winners drawn from the pool of correct entries submitted between April 22 and June 13. Since then, over twenty businesses have joined in. Earth Breeze is even giving away packets of waterless and plastics-free laundry detergents to the first 1,000 visitors to the Recycling Contest table at Hamden’s Earth Day Celebration. Answers to all questions are available in the sentences just before each question on the contest entry, at the Solid Waste & Recycling Commission’s table, and online at www.RecycleCT.com. You are allowed to submit up to 16 entries.
