Details | The Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 2nd Annual Nonprofit Board & Volunteer Recruitment Fair, presented by The Good Karma Coffee Company and Mutual of America Financial Group. The event takes place on Wednesday, May 10th, from 4pm to 6pm at Albertus Magnus College in the Hubert Campus Center (700 Prospect Street, New Haven, CT 06511). This Fair is intended for those interested in engaging with the nonprofit community and adding their perspectives and talents through board service or volunteer work. The goal of this event is to facilitate connections between nonprofits with board and volunteer opportunities and professionals in the region. Attendees will be able to meet organizations with board openings, network with those who have shared passions, and learn how board service can affect change. Attendees will have the opportunity to identify which nonprofit’s mission aligns with their own values and interests by directly communicating with nonprofits. A networking reception with hors d’oeuvres will take place during the event. Booths are still available for nonprofits looking to recruit board members and volunteers. Participating nonprofits include the ’r kids Family Center, Alzheimer’s Association, American Red Cross CT Chapter, Arts in CT, Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater New Haven, Christian Community Action, Concepts for Adaptive Learning, Diaper Bank of Connecticut, Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen Inc., Family Centered Services of CT, Inc., Hope After Loss, Inc., Interfaith Volunteer Care Givers of Greater New Haven, IRIS, Junior Achievement of Southwest New England Inc., Literacy Volunteers of GNH, Marrakech, Inc., Mary Wade, Mutual of America Financial Group, National Association of African Americans in Human Resources (NAAAHR – CT), New Haven Parking Authority, New Haven Port Authority, New Haven Pride Center, New Haven Reads, New Reach, Inc, Parents’ Foundation for Transitional Living, Ronald McDonald House Charities of CT and Western MA, SARAH Inc., Shoreline Trolley Museum, Soul Friends Inc., The Prosperity Foundation, The Salvation Army, The Towers at Tower Lane, United Way of Greater New Haven, Veterinary Care Everywhere, Wallingford Family YMCA, Winning Ways, Inc., and more.
