Details | The Haven String Quartet presents its final concert of the 2022 – 2023 season, three meditative explorations from opposite ends of the stylistic spectrum. Brahms’ String Quartet No. 2 in A Minor is renowned for its soaring lyrical melodies and the Hungarian dance of the Finale. Raven Chacon, by contrast, finds new sounds through unusual techniques within the medium of the string quartet to express a narrative with echoes of traditional Navajo mythology. All convey a depth and profundity through their individual expressiveness. All HSQ ticket sales are “pay what you can.” Suggested amount is $25 per ticket. Concert details are subject to change based on public health guidelines. Visit musichavenct.org/events for the latest information. Masks are optional at Unitarian Society of New Haven performances. All sales benefit Music Haven’s free music education programming. For more info, visit www.musichavenct.org. There will be refreshments after the concert. |
