Details | Mixed-media book artist Paulette Rosen will hold a special workshop for adults to create a spring-themed book at the Pardee-Morris House. For weather updates check FB/IG or call 203 – 562-4183. Using paper, glue, colored pencil, markers and other materials, participants will create a hard-cover, accordion-spine book with popup and pages made from vintage postcards. The book’s inspiration will be the historic Pardee-Morris House or the on-site garden. Rosen is an artist who makes mixed-media drawings, artists’ books and boxes in Hamden, Connecticut. She currently heads the Book Arts department at Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven, where she has taught since 1996. Her books are in many collections including Yale University Arts Library, The National Gallery of Art, The Library of Congress, Trinity College Watkinson Library, and Connecticut College Shain Library. Her work has been exhibited internationally. New Haven Museum thanks its community partners: WSHU 91.1 FM, The Howard Gilman Foundation, Avangrid/UI Lighting Up the Arts, and Alder Salvatore E. DeCola for supporting the 2023 summer season. |
