50th anniversary screening! This Halloween, we remember William Friedkin (1935 – 2023) by reviving THE EXORCIST, the first horror film to receive a Best Picture Oscar nomination. Priests struggle to save a young girl from possession when the demon Pazuzu arrives in Georgetown. Ellen Burstyn, Max von Sydow, and a terrifying Linda Blair star. 35mm print of the 2000 re-release version from the Yale Film Archive.
