Dana is the author of Dance and Politics: Moving Beyond Boundaries (2006), Critical Lives: Rosa Luxemburg (2020), and Dance and Activism: A Hundred Years of Radical Dance Across the World (2021). She received her DPhil from Oxford, UK, and has held positions at Oxford University, New York University, Northwestern University, University of Amsterdam, among others. Her writing has appeared in The Jacobin, Tribune, New Socialist, and Granta among others. 


This series is presented in conjunction with the Yale Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library’s new exhibit:
