A Musical Exploration of the Influences of Gospel in the Broadway Canon

West Haven, CT: Get ready to be swept away by an unforgettable night of soul-stirring melodies! Celebrating the powerful influence of Gospel music on Broadway classics old and new, Elvin Melendez, Ty Scurry, and Erica Wilkins take center stage alongside the FUSE Good News Gospel Choir and an electrifying five-piece band. Don’t miss this uplifting spectacle!
The Gospel According to Broadway will be performed on Saturday, February 24th at 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm. Performances will occur at Music Back Then Performance Theatre, 221 Bull Hill Lane, West Haven, CT. Tickets are $20, general admission, and are available at FuseTheatreCT.org. Tickets will also be available at the door. The venue is handicap accessible.

FUSE Theatre of CT’s concert, The Gospel According to Broadway includes musical selections from over 60 years of Broadway shows, including selections from The Wiz, The Color Purple, Waitress, Hamilton, Godspell, and more. The Gospel According to Broadway is directed by Lara Morton (Madison, CT), with music direction by Clio Janis (Naugatuck, CT) with music supervision by Sheri Sanders (New Haven, CT and NYC). The concert is produced by Noah Golden (Guilford, CT) and Eric Wolff (Guilford, CT). 
The Gospel According to Broadway’s spectacular music features soloists Elvin Melendez (West Haven, CT), Ty Scurry (New Haven, CT) and Erica Wilkins (New Haven, CT), accompanied by a live band and supported by the soaring vocals of the FUSE Good News Gospel Choir, which features Tara Chapman (of West Haven, CT), April Chateauneuf (Meriden, CT), Noah Golden (Guilford, CT), Dania Fredrick (Naugatuck, CT), Trevor Hartman (Deep River, CT), Angela Jackson (Milford, CT), Lara Morton (Madison, CT), Edwin Rodriguez (New Haven, CT), and Sheri Sanders (New Haven, CT).
