| Details | The Hamden Art League will host fiber artist Jennifer Davies at 7 PM on April 9, 2024 meeting as she demonstrates the “Magical Transformations: Japanese Fibers in Contemporary Art”. She will show and explain how she uses Eastern and Western papermaking traditions and then incorporates her handmade paper in her contemporary art. The fiber techniques she uses are pulp dipping, indigo dyeing, and sewing papers together to make large wall hangings. Meetings of the Hamden Art League will be held in the Social Hall of the Hamden Senior Center, with parking/entrance behind the Miller Memorial Library Complex, 2901 Dixwell Avenue, Hamden.
