Thu May 9 , 6 – 8:15 pm

Hosted by Yale Peabody Museum
Details Over 3,000 years ago the ancient civilizations around the Aegean and Mediterranean seas flourished. Then, one day, it was over. Learn more about one of history’s greatest mysteries – what abruptly ended the Bronze Age? On Thursday, May 9 at 6 p.m., archeologist Eric Cline, author of the new book After 1177 B.C.: The Survival of Civilizations, tells the story of what happened after the Bronze Age collapsed — why some civilizations endured, why some gave way to new ones, and why some disappeared forever. RJ Julia Booksellers will be on hand to sell signed copies of Cline’s new book. Tickets are available now.
