The Affordable Housing Crisis in Connecticut

Mon Aug 19 , 6:30 – 8:30 pm

Hosted by Humanist Association of Connecticut
Details Join the Humanist Association of Connecticut (HAC) for a frank and provocative discussion about the affordable housing crisis in Connecticut with attorney and housing advocate Liam Brennan, Esq.

Attorney Brennan was a founding member of the Room For All Coalition, which advocates for solutions to the affordable housing crisis in New Haven. In 2023 he ran for mayor of New Haven on a platform centered around housing justice and zoning reform, and he recently became the director of New Haven’s Livable City Initiative, the municipal department responsible for housing code inspection and enforcement, and combating blight. A graduate of Yale Law School and former federal prosecutor, Brennan has also served as the Inspector General for Hartford’s Civilian Police Review Board and as the Executive Director of the Connecticut Veterans Legal Center.

We usually start with half an hour of coffee and conversation at 6:30 PM, followed by the main program after brief announcements at 7:00 PM
