Details | Join us for a beautiful fall day at Massaro Community Farm for an in-depth guide into a variety of methods preserving your homemade delicacies and garden harvest. We’ll cover canning, freezing, drying PLUS salting & sugaring. We’ll use local produce and send you home with your own jar of preserved foods along with numerous ways to use these in your every day cooking. Dress for indoor/outdoor weather. We’ll be outside whenever possible. Scaled pricing available. Caty Poole has been a backyard gardener and food preservationist for 35 years. She currently oversees community gardens across Lower Naugatuck Valley and advocates for healthy food for all. |
