Details | On Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 1:00 PM, experience part two of “Fashion Through the Decades” on the Kellogg Estate grounds where volunteers will be dressed in costumes inspired by decades of styles and trends. “Fashion Through the Decades: the Runway” is part two of a historical fashion exhibition representing the 1840s-1970s, the decades of the lives of the former residents of the Osborne Homestead Museum. Because the Osbornes owned businesses that manufactured hoop skirts, hat and corset wires, and other garment accessories, fashion was significant to their lives. Volunteers will sashay down the runway in outfits inspired by the Victorian era onwards. In case of inclement weather, the runway will be in the Kellogg Environmental Center. This is a free event. Registration is suggested for the runway event. For more information and to register, call 203 – 734-2513 or email DEEP.Kellogg@ct.gov.
