Furoshiki Wrapping

Tue Dec 17 , 6 – 9 pm

Hosted by MakeHaven
Details Welcome back to re‑X Clinic series where we reduce, reuse, redesign, reclaim materials before recycling or sending tired items to landfills. This month we are gathering to learn to wrap gifts with reusable fabric, and to make scrap sweater bunnies for decoration or gift-giving.
Single use paper wrapping is an ecological nightmare! The coatings used to make the paper stand out also render most papers non-recyclable. Come learn the Japanese art of Furoshiki — using fabric to wrap gifts. The fabric can be reused until it wears out, or repurposed into another fabric item. We’ll also be reusing scrap fabric to make an adorable bunny for use as a gift or decoration.
