Details | LA DOLCE VITA (Federico Fellini, 1960, 35mm, 174 mins) Has an attack on decadence ever looked this magnificent? The first collaboration between Fellini and his frequent star Marcello Mastroianni, LA DOLCE VITA follows a hedonistic tabloid reporter’s week-long descent into a celebrity-obsessed post-war Rome, baroque in its debauchery and seductive in its spectacle. The cast includes Anouk Aimée as a jaded heiress and Anita Ekberg as an audacious movie star. In Italian with English subtitles. 35mm print from the Yale Film Archive. The “Treasures from the Yale Film Archive” series is presented with support from Paul L. Joskow ’70 M.Phil., ’72 Ph.D. |
