Details | The 51st People’s World Black History Month Celebration including the annual arts and writing competition for grades 8 to 12 will be held on Saturday, February 22 at 4 pm at the New Haven Peoples Center 37 Howe Street New Haven. “Black Youth Leadership – Resistance 2.0 in Today’s Freedom Struggle” is the theme for the event and competition. The competition deadline is Thursday February 13 at 5 pm. The event will include presentation of prizes for the competition, a youth panel, drum circle and guest speaker Aaron Booe who lives in Washington DC and is the national organizer of the YCL USA.
