| Details | At this first workshop of the season, beekeeper Ted Jones will discuss receiving your package or nucleus of bees and how to nurture them into spring. At this first workshop of the season, the state bee inspector, Dr. Victoria Smith, will also be on site to discuss her role in supporting backyard beekeepers. Offered by Ted Jones of Jones Apiaries (Farmington), Ted leads you through all steps of beekeeping from spring through fall. Whether you’re a newbie or a veteran, all levels and ages welcome. Wear long pants and close-toed shoes (even when it’s warm). We have veils and gloves for you to borrow. Suggested donation of $10/pp supports ongoing education at Massaro Farm. |
