| Details | Hamden, CT – On Friday, April 4th at 6 PM, New England Brewery will set the stage for camaraderie and unforgettable music, all in support of the 2025 CT Folk Festival & Green Expo. The evening promises to be a lively and meaningful event, as beloved Connecticut singer-songwriters Benny Mikula, Lara Herscovitch, and Pierce Campbell take the stage to raise funds for the highly anticipated festival this September. Performers to Support the Fundraiser: • Benny Mikula (The Lone Gnome): A well-loved acoustic performer, Mikula is known for his soulful lyrics, passionate delivery, and electrifying energy. As a member of the Alpaca Gnomes, Benny has become a staple of the Connecticut music scene, captivating audiences with his heartfelt tunes and engaging stage presence. • Lara Herscovitch: A former Connecticut State Troubadour (2009 – 2010), Herscovitch leads with authenticity, integrity, and humor. Her music explores themes of courage, love, loss, faith, and freedom, delivering a powerful mix of storytelling and performance. Herscovitch also fronts the Highway Philosophers trio, bringing dynamic and captivating performances to the stage. • Pierce Campbell: Another former Connecticut State Troubadour (2007 – 2008), Pierce Campbell brings a wide array of musical genres to his performances, from jazz and rock to folk and more. A skilled solo performer and bandleader of The Kerry Boys, The Exrtas, and 60’s Satisfaction, Pierce’s versatility makes him a beloved figure in Connecticut’s music community. About CT Folk Festival & Green Expo: For 34 years, the not-for-profit organization CT Folk has been presenting this free festival, which brings both emerging and established musical talent to the crown jewel of New Haven’s park system, Edgewood Park in Hamden. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Green Expo, a resource hub for environmental knowledge and sustainable living, featuring fun activities like the Green Kids Zone to educate and engage young minds about protecting the planet.
