Branford, CT – The Community Dining Room is excited to continue its CommUNITY Cuisine Series with a special sushi-making class on Thursday, April 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Community Dining Room, 30 Harrison Avenue, Branford. This event is part of the organization’s yearlong 40th anniversary celebration.
Led by The Sushi Class, this interactive evening will teach participants how to craft two sushi rolls from start to finish. Tickets are $75 and include the hands-on lesson, two sushi rolls, and soft drinks. Additional rolls will be available for purchase.
A portion of all ticket sales will benefit the Community Dining Room and support its mission to provide nutritious meals and essential services to individuals and families along the Shoreline.
The CommUNITY Cuisine Series celebrates the connection between culture, food, and community. Through diverse culinary events, the series explores how food brings people together, shares traditions, and reflects the heart of who we are.
This series brings people together not just to eat, but to connect,” said Patrick Hackett, Fundraising Coordinator for the Community Dining Room. It’s about honoring the cultural richness of our community and doing it in a way that’s engaging. Everyone is making a meaningful impact while learning, tasting, and socializing.”
Space is limited and tickets are expected to sell quickly.
