| Details | Descendants of the CT 29th Regiment Host Historic Celebration Weekend Honoring Freedom Fighters and Black Culture New Haven, CT — Juneteenth New Haven returns for its landmark 10th Anniversary Celebration, bringing history to life with a vibrant weekend of cultural festivities, education, and community joy — all presented by The Descendants of the Connecticut 29th Regiment, a proud legacy organization honoring one of the most heroic Black military units in U.S. history. The celebration begins with a high-energy Juneteenth Kickoff Party on Friday, June 20, 2025, followed by the main festival on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Dixwell Q House. Expect: On-site Scholarships for HS Seniors by NOBLE, FREE Fried dough and Hotdogs for the first 100 children in attendance, a Girls and Boys Basketball Tournament, An eSports Gaming Tournament for kids, Vendors, Carnival Games, Exhibits, and artistic performances. |
