| Details | In this hands-on workshop, participants will create a vibrant yarn artwork inspired by Mexican folk art traditions. The session focuses on using color, texture, and personal symbolism to build a unique fiber-based composition. Participants will learn to translate designs into yarn art using specific glue techniques and intentional color placement, resulting in a rich, tactile piece of art. *Note: Registration for this specific workshop is managed off-site. The instructor will demonstrate how to keep lines clean and controlled while working with adhesive and various yarn weights. Participants will spend the session applying these methods to their own work, choosing from curated template designs or sketching an original concept. By the end of the class, you’ll leave with a finished 8x10 (or similar size) artwork ready to dry and display. Skills You’ll Acquire Design Translation: Converting a simple sketch into a yarn-based layout. Adhesive Techniques: Applying glue for clean, controlled lines and long-lasting bonds. Color Theory: Working with contrast, blending, and flow to create visual impact. Dimensional Texturing: Using varied yarn placements to add depth to your work. Artistic Composition: Building confidence in both abstract and representational designs.
