| Details | Ever wondered how to turn body measurements into a perfectly fitted garment? This is a casual, “show and tell” style session where you can watch the process of patterning unfold in real time. Whether you are an aspiring sewist or just curious about the math behind the fabric, come by to see how the foundations of a custom wardrobe are built. What to Expect This is a relaxed, observation based meetup where an experienced maker will demonstrate the transition from taking physical measurements to plotting them out on paper. The session will focus on basic garment construction, specifically a pair of pants and a tunic top. If time allows, you might even see some more advanced techniques like working with gussets and gores. You are welcome to drop in starting around 6:30pm to watch the plotting process, ask questions, and see the tools used to create professional patterns. What to Bring A Notebook: If you want to jot down tips on measurement points or pattern geometry. Your Questions: This is a great time to ask about specific fit challenges or pattern drafting basics. Who Should Join Anyone with an interest in textiles, fashion, or costume design. No prior pattern making experience is required. This session is all about sharing knowledge and seeing the process in action.
