Rings and Things: Ceramic Trinket Trays

Tue Apr 28 , 6 – 9 pm

Hosted by MakeHaven
Details Create a beautiful, personalized home for your favorite jewelry! This workshop focuses on the art of the trinket dish, which is a perfect introduction to ceramic handbuilding. You will learn how to turn a simple slab of clay into a delicate, functional dish using various shaping and decorative techniques.
What to Expect
In this 3 hour session, we move from raw clay to a finished, shaped design. You will learn how to roll, cut, and shape clay into elegant dish forms using molds or freehand techniques. There will be plenty of room for creative risk taking with textures and stamps to make your dish uniquely yours.
Your finished pieces will be kiln fired by the instructor after the workshop. We will coordinate a later date for you to return and pick up your completed work.
