| Details | Aging is not decline. It is accumulation. A lifetime of memory, humor, insight, contradiction, and lived experience. Join us for a celebration of aging through theatre, Shakespeare, and comedy. This event invites older adults, loved ones, caregivers, and community members into a joyful conversation about what it means to grow older with imagination, presence, and delight. We’ll explore aging as a rich, creative stage of life — one filled with meaning, perspective, expression, and the power to shape community. Part of the 2026 Building a Brave New Theatre series, Prescription for Joy: Exploring Mental & Community Health through Shakespeare, this gathering asks what becomes possible when we meet aging with curiosity, laughter, recognition, and respect. Together, we’ll consider how performance and story can help us celebrate elderhood as a source of connection, culture, and joy. Whether you are an older adult yourself, part of an intergenerational family, or someone who believes communities are stronger when every stage of life is welcomed and honored, this is a conversation to be in. RSVP and bring family, friends, neighbors, and elders you love. |
