| Details | Enjoy dancing the social dances of Scotland. Come alone or with a friend. All dances taught. Wear soft-soled non-street shoes. You don’t have to be Scottish, wear a kilt, or even speak English to enjoy Scottish dancing! SCD is a very social form of dancing, dancers get to dance with seven or so people at once instead of just with a partner. Participants are grouped into sets, typically of 3, 4 or 5 couples arranged either in two lines (partner in the opposite line) or in a square, and work together to dance a sequence of patterns.
