| Details | During the evening, three prominent members of the group will share their personal sketchbooks, unique artistic experiences, and practical techniques to inspire attendees of all skill levels. Featured presenters include: Susan Schapira, who will provide an introduction to the practice of urban sketching and its vibrant worldwide organization. John Laverack, who will demonstrate specialized, self-devised tools and procedures for mastering perspective and proportions, alongside a custom travel palette he built. Sharon Foster, who will share a visual slideshow highlighting the diverse formats, mediums, and styles utilized by the Urban Sketchers of Central Connecticut, as well as inspiration from professional instructors. The presentation offers a unique look at how local artists capture the architecture, culture, and daily life of Connecticut on paper. Admission is free.
