Details Blacksmith Demo with FOB Member Peter in the Sugar Shack. Children’s Games in the grassy area near the chicken Coop. Brooksvale’s Animals Prepare for Winter at the FOB Animal Barn with the help of park staff. Make a Snowman with FOB member Debbie for kids ages 5 – 11 in the Brooksvale Garden, while supplies last. Handmade masks available for a $2 donation. Nature crafts at the Historic Barn with FOB member Shari, while supplies last. Animals in Winter with park intern Josh at the Nature Center in the lower level of the Veterans’ Memorial Building. Hot Cocoa served by FOB President Gail in the Veterans’ Memorial Building Handmade Bows to decorate your wreath, door or mailbox for a $5 donation see FOB members Judy & Kathleen in the Veterans’ Memorial Building. The events below are at specific times and are only offered then. Meet at the main kiosk in front of the big red barn. 10:00 — Tales from the Woods with FOB Member Tanta” Kirsten — Story & Nature Walk geared to younger children. 10:30 — Guided Bird Walk led by FOB Member and avid birder Alan geared to older children and adults. 11:00 — Trail Hike led by FOB Member Steve geared to older children and adults. 11:30 — Tales from the Woods with FOB Member Tanta” Kirsten — Story & Nature Walk geared to younger children. Dress for the weather. If it’s cold, wear your woolies, if there has been recent rain or snow, trails can be mucky and slippery, wear your boots. Rain or Snow will cancel.
