Details | Come to the Seymour Library and join Jason Scappaticci, historian as he tells us about New York’s most famous demolished landmarks. New York City is noted for its historic architecture. Unfortunately the City is constantly reinventing itself so many landmarks have fallen to the wrecking ball. Some landmarks have long been lost but still live on in popular memory and in pictures, movies and photographs. Join Jason as he show us the marvels that were. The Old Pennsylvania Station, the Second Madison Square Gardens of the 1890s, or one of the largest private homes ever built– Cornelius Vanderbilt II ‘s New York mansion and many more.
