Maximizing Space in the Garden--Creating More of a Good Thing

Sat Mar 11 , 1 – 2 pm

Hosted by Seymour Public Library
Details The Seymour Library welcomes again local New England gardener Tovah Martin. She is an avid gardener and the author of many gardening books. She has appeared on numerous television shows including the Marth Stewart Show, The CBS Sunday Early Show and her own PBS television series.
Tovah will lead a talk on gardening layout – no matter if you’re gardening in a suburban small lot or vast area, you want to garden efficiently, prolifically, sustainably and beautifully. This lecture focuses on all the points on your checklist. Using her own garden that she calls Furthermore”, Tovah describes how to create layers in varied habitats including the perennial, berry, and vegetable gardens. The result is visually fulfilling, low maintenance and mulch-eliminating when plants go wall to wall. This talk shares how to serve our needs as well as the needs of pollinators and other creatures.
This is an in person event and no registration is needed to attend the talk. For more information please call the Library at 203 – 888-3903. To find out more about Tovah Martin visit www.tovahmartin.com.
