Details | The Seymour Library welcomes Dr. Wendy Hurwitz, author, researcher and a graduate of the Yale University of Medicine. She will lead an in person talk on how to have and maintain an improved sleep and restorative rest. The doctor is an expert in two fields — Mind/Body Medicine and Energy Medicine with a forthcoming book on stress. The doctor will lead a talk on the restorative aspects of sleep. During sleep the body not only resets and recharges but cleans the brain of toxins and debris, consolidates memories, repairs tissues and organs and grows new cells, including brain cells. The problem becomes the lack of restorative sleep at some point during a person’s life for a number of reasons. The doctor will give useful concrete information, tools and techniques to take with you on the way to a better night’s sleep. This is an in person event and no registration is needed to attend the talk. For more information please call the Library at 203 – 888-3903. |
