| Details | American Legion Pot 50 July 4th Celebration The Gordon-Visselli American Legion Post 50 of Ansonia will once again be hosting the Legion Liftoff to celebrate Independence Day. 30+ model rockets will be launched July 4th, from 10:00 – 11:30 at Nelligan Park on Doyle Drive in Ansonia. This is a free event. Commander Mike Heise invites you to bring blankets and lawn chairs (there is some limited bleacher seating also) and take in the excitement during this family fun event. Kids will be invited to retrieve rockets as they parachute down, and may get a chance to actually push the launch buttons. There will be other interactive opportunities also that will add to the fun.
