Lawn Games Then & Now

Details Come to the Kellogg Estate in Derby, Connecticut on Sunday, July 23rd (rain date is Sunday, July 30th) anytime between 11:30am and 3:30pm to learn and play popular lawn games of the late 19th and early 20th century in Connecticut. Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy modern versions of historical favorites such as croquet, ladder toss, ring toss, corn hole, and many more. All outdoor games will be played in the front lawn. In addition, there will also be games to play inside the Osborne Homestead Museum. Enjoy our variety of games and/or feel free to bring your own! 

Free, all ages welcomed, and open to the public. No registration is required. For more information call (203) 734‑2513. Kellogg Estate is located at 500 Hawthorne Avenue, Derby, CT and operated by the CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. The Osborne Homestead Museum, a facility of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s State Parks & Public Outreach Division, is open for free docent-led and self-guided tours on Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. It is located at 500 Hawthorne Avenue off Rte. 34 in Derby, CT. The Kellogg Environmental Center, a facility of the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection’s State Parks & Public Outreach Division, is open 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday.
